medicaid vs medicare - Both Medicaid and Medicare are government backed health insurance programs. Medicaid is designed to assist individuals and families with coverage in a specific income bracket while Medicare is coverage for everyone over the age of 65.
Medicaid is insurance coverage for individuals and families in a specific income bracket that could not normally afford the cost of insurance. Medicaid differs from ACA (Obamacare) in that ACA provides set monthly discounts off of multiple insurance plans and requires a life qualifying event to apply out of open enrollment period. Medicaid is a single program that offers free health insurance coverage for those that qualify. To see if you qualify, you can either email us directly OR call (833) 253-3480 to speak with a medicaid specialist directly.
Medicare is coverage for anyone the age of 65 and over as a government sponsored program. Supplements are available through the private health care market to cover some of the gaps medicare insurance has in high deductibles and coinsurance. Please feel free to reach out to us to enroll in medicare and discuss supplement options.
